Here at BeeUtifulMinds we envision a world built on pillars of acceptance, diversity and kindness. Our aim is to provide families with knowledge and support so they can know better and be better.
Our services address families who have neurodivergent members (autistic, ADHD, gifted and/or with learning difficulties, a.o.), who are going through the processes of assessment/ diagnostic or just want to try out a different approach.
Our BeeUtiful Minds commitment is to help you enjoy the playful moments and let the heartfelt steps naturally follow.
If you want to learn more about how we got here - please read A BeeUtiful Journey.
BeeUtiful Minds is here to support children and families on their journey of embracing difference. We believe there is not one way to bee (pun intended 🐝) and that all children in our care are precious just the way they are.
Whether you know that your child is neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, gifted, has learning differences, a.o.) or you just feel that the world is not fully designed for your family's needs we are here to support you.
We offer understanding, we share our experience and we want to help you embrace the challenges and find the joy in being just the way you are.
Our guiding principles are:
- Children do the best they can, every time, all the time
- Adults do the best they can with the information and resources they have in the moment
- Being neurodivergent is a wonderful thing
- Parenting is challenging and non-judgemental support is needed
- Being different in today's world can be challenging and getting support is a sign of bravery.
We will work hard to be there for families who engage with us. It's a tricky world we live in and we navigate it ourselves as well as we can. We acknowledge that we inevitably get it wrong at times but our commitment to you is that we will be relentless in trying to get it right.

Neurodivergent
... is a term used for when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical"
... is a term embraced by people who no longer wish to describe their differences or experience as a disorder
... is an umbrella term that encompasses: autistic people, people who identify as ADHD, AuDHD, ADD, gifted people, people with learning differences, a.o.
... isn't a clinical term, a diagnosis or most importantly, another tool of the pathology paradigm. It's an Identity!
Neuro-affirming approach
... acknowledges that all neurotypes (and thus, all people) have unique strengths, interests, and support needs
... is opposed to the deficits-based approach, which aims to "fix" or "cure" any and all impairments
... is respectful towards all individuals, takes into account everyone's perceptions and needs
... challenges traditional approaches that focus on compliance and instead prioritises empowerment and self-determination!
